Altlayer (ALT) is the governance and staking token for the AltLayer protocol, which enables restaked rollup infrastructure. Users swap ALT to participate in protocol staking, to rebalance portfolios holding Ethereum-ecosystem tokens, or to exit positions into more liquid assets. Because ALT operates exclusively on Ethereum, all swaps route through the Ethereum network.
